We are committed to helping everyone in Sagebrush clean up our earth.
We hope you find this site informative and inspiring. We're proud that
recycling works in Sagebrush.
In July 1987 the New Mexico Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling,
and Waste Reduction Act became law, making recycling mandatory for all
municipalities in New Mexico. Recycling to Rescue the Earth was
founded to steward Sagebrush toward compliance. Since then curbside recycling
has become a way of life to all New Mexicans. We have developed a variety
of materials and programs to educate citizens and encourage recycling.
We want to share these with you. We're continually adding to this site,
so please drop by often. We hope you enjoy the site. If you would like
more information, or have questions, please contact us at our e-mail address.
Recycling Feels Good, Saves Natural Resources, Saves Energy, Saves
Our Environment, Saves Disposal Capacity and Costs AND RECYCLING IS GOOD
BUSINESS!
Please join hands with your community through Recycle to
Rescue the Earth. We meet EVERY Monday night at 6 pm at the Sagebrush
Community Center. We discuss current events, update each other about community
issues, and promote our legislative agenda, and we host municipal leaders
to give them our input and hear theirs! You can also call us anytime at
505-555-4545.
Calling ALL elementary, middle and high school students!! You are
invited to create a poster promoting Recycle to Rescue the Earth.
There will be winners in 12 categories. Winning posters will be displayed
on our special posters page on this site as well as in a special poster
exhibition at the Sagebrush Art Museum. Submit your entry at any weekly
meeting, see Join Our Group, until the end of September. You go to it,
student earthlings!
