Acceptable Items at the Recycle Center:
Aluminum Cans, Aluminum Scrap, #1 Plastics, #2, #3, #5, and #7 Plastic,
Glass, Drink Boxes/Milk Cartons, Ferrous Metal/Non-Ferrous, Cardboard,
Metal, Newspapers, Paper Grocery Bags, Junk Mail, Magazines, Telephone
Books, Office Paper, Paperboard (cereal, shoe boxes), Dry Cleaning Bags,
and Wood (large quantities evoke a fee).
Composting
Free composting workshops to all residents. Workshops last about 2 hours
and are held monthly. Call the Home Composting Hotline at 222-POST to request
a list of upcoming dates.
Curbside Recycling
Recyclable materials accepted at the curb include: Newspaper, Tin, #1 and
#2 Plastics, Used Motor Oil (special container required), Glass (clear,
brown, and green), Green Waste/Yard Debris, and Aluminum.
